Php / Cakephp developer needed
website upgrade and maintenance

for long-term freelance contract
I am looking for an A-player who is going to put forth an A+ effort (with great results) to join a challenging project. If you have strong work ethics, are passionate about web development, bright, hardworking, highly motivated and excel at finding solutions you may be the right fit for this project. The project has grown in scope and I am looking into hiring one or two more developer(s) to join ongoing Cakephp project. The new developer(s) will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading the application. I believe that clear and open communication is pivotal to ensure our expectations are in sync, hence, the developer needs to be located in the Greater Toronto Area to facilitate communication and ensure quality results.
Project summary:
An online auction community/social networking site (hybrid) facilitating fast and easy buying and selling of desired/unwanted items within a trusted online community. The site features a user account, an offline messaging system, post-transaction peer reviews, detailed item listings, advanced search with filters and much more. The payment gateway used is PayPal. The site differentiates itself from existing competition (including eBay) in a multitude of ways.
This is a challenging opportunity for an advanced web developer who enjoys stimulating projects and an opportunity to learn something new while getting compensated in the process. You need to be able to handle a sizeable database driven applications and be responsible for all facets of the website. Such may include: providing technical specifications and database design for any new upgrades, implementation (following latest coding standards), testing, troubleshooting and debugging, documentation, onsite SEO, taking necessary security measures, front end site design.
Project status:
The application is currently being debugged and tested.

If you re fluent with php, familiar with the concepts of Ruby on Rails or MVC, learning this framework should be a piece of cake.
