Hi Again,
any idea why some search engines give different data to the number of links linking to ur site? which engines is most reliable to follow in terms of external linking do u think?

Since the vast majority of users click only on links in the first page of results, most search engines only return the most relevant links.
Using Google, perform enter the search term "msn", click the search button and go to the last page of results. If you scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a short paragraph which states:
"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 739 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included."
Click the hyperlink and Google will return all the links it deems relevant to your search term.

Google only shows you a sample of what they see, if they showed you everything they see it would make it easer for people to figure out how and what links they counted.
In most cases Yahoo will show more links then Google.
