You're so right deba. And you really need to be a tester and test your marketing approach whether it be by word of mouth, email your list or a website. It's all about letting people know that you do exist and then the rest is letting them know what you have.

Great job deba.

I completely agree masters! Unfortunately
some new business owners think that all
they have to do is just get a website and
traffic will just come to them from out of
nowhere.

You gotta let folks know you exist.

Most of those ideas are great...but I have strong feelings against this one:

You must submit your site in major search engines
Absolutely positively do not submit your site to the search engines. Let them find you via links to your site's pages.

We no longer submit sites to search engines...that stopped about 3-4 years ago.

I know that is true and you won't be seeing results in that way. I would spend 1 to 2 hours to advertise each day.

a minimum of 2 hours a day and Train

Can someone list the best website where you would get paid for article writing? I have had more attention from this than from any advertising strategy.

I set up a companion blogs on Booger.com, hoping that the keywords and link backs to my client's sites will help their overall search engine positioning. It is too new to rate this for effectiveness.

[quote="wgoodman"]I set up a companion blogs on Booger.com

I checkd that site, sorry it is not working, I don't understand why they have put this "We're busy picking our favorite strips, and will upload them around 1/1/06".

Alternatively technorati.com is good source for increasing traffic once you get listed there.

So far as my exp the Google Adwords and Email Marketing are the best effective ones.
However if we have small ad budget then FREE posting is the good choice untill we get sufficient amount and knowledge to do the paid advertising.

I am doubtful about email marketing, alternatively blog and social networking sites are good to work out, IMO.

I am doubtful about email marketing

I don't really agree with etechsupport about email marketing not being important.

Email marketing is the simplest(can be done from newhere), quickest and the most cost effective way to reach the target audience.

Please read below articles:

Creating Demand With Email Newsletters (http://www.webpronews.com/ebusiness/newsletters/wpn-5-20041001CreatingDemandwithEmailNewsletters.html)

I think email marketing and Search Engines are taking over the traditional methods print advertising.

Well, the reasons I find most of the email is being considered spam due to its unsolicited nature and even if it is subscribe who has time to read these mails?

Press releases are a great way to announce new websites or announce new products, etc. There are lots of free sites where your PR might get picked up by sites in your industry.

And I believe that email marketing works if it's done correctly - interesting subject line that invites the recipient to open the email, concise content and a call to action. It's a reminder to come back to your site or that the recipient needs your new products/services.

who has time to read these mails?

That way if we see who has time to read Magazine Ads or Newspaper Ads or Billboards for that matter! but it works! Billions are spent on the print ads! So it does work, right! Similarly email campaigns, with good subject lines, and creative matter surely works.

I agree with MarcieZoob, as email marketing leads to quick conversion, if done in a right way.
