Question on Custom Brushes

Ok, since going to Photoshop 7 I am unable to do custom brushes...I read the instructions on how to create them and to save...I think I did everything right but for some reason I can't seem to put them in the plcae I need to be able to use it as a brush. Can someone help me?

I'm not sure I know what is happening here. But I am using Photoshop 7 and have no problems creating custom brushes. Here is what I do use the marquee tool to select the part of the image you want to make into your custom brush. go edit>define brush. Rename the brush and click ok. Then drop down the brushes pallette from the pallet well. Your new brush should be automatically selected if it's not your new brush should be the last brush at the bottom of your brush list. Now you can customize your brush options.

If you don't have your new brush in the pallette you may have to reload Photoshop as your installation may be corrupted.

I agree. I make custom brushed in Photoshop 7 all the time in much the same manner.
