hello all,
I have a website and I have spent a lot of time trying to read up on SEO. I NEED the high rankings in the search engines to get people frequenting my site.
I am a Real Estate Agent..Do the math!
I really do not have much time to fool around with it. Before I do anything, Can someone visit the site and tell me whether or not I need serious help ?? Or am I on the right track??
If I need serious help, then I think I'm going to be forced to just pay someone to get us in the high rankings..
We need to build business..but are on a minimal budget, hence why I have been trying to tackle this myself and taking time away from my clients to do this.
Website -> www.southjerseyhomehunters.com
please give me advice!! I need it desperately!!

Hi, this really is a 'start from the bottom and work upwards' Run it by www.sitereportcard.com and you will see you have no Meta Tags and virtually no links. So before we start looking at promotion we need to get the site sorted out in basic terms first. Optimise every page for the keyword/page title then post back.

I do have that, I think... If you "View Source"..it should be updated for every page.. If not, I have no idea what you mean..Sorry, im a retard..

I just made a quick check with our basic SEO Analysis Tool (http://www.seoworkers.com/tool/analyzer.html) and the results were, that you seriously need professional help.
Check it out yourself if you want.
And you are definitely not retarded. Maybe your site is, as you use ancient technologies as frames. :)
Please do not consider that as an offense though. It is just an honest and professional critique.
And not only that. They are not optimized at all for SEO.

Sorry Ryan,
As Ctabuk mentioned you don't have a proper title or metas in your pages, all I can see as a title when viewing the source code of the page is:
<title>www.southjerseyhomehunters.com</title>
And you have no Description or keywords in your source code as well:
<meta content="??????????" name="Description" />
<meta content="??????????" name="Keywords" />

Thanks for the replies..
I did not build the website, per say, I just add the content.. The system I am using is Top Producer Websites..
It's kind of like a fool proof way to build a website.
I think you guys are right.. I do need professional help.. This is a little over my head and I do not really have time to sit down and learn it..
Would you guys happen to know anyone that is reputable and able to get my site high in the search engines at an affordable price?
Regards,
Ryan

Sorry, guys and gals, but it ain't that simple.
The majority of real estate websites suffer from the same problem. Far too many of them are seen/treated as simply another way to advertise listings and invite people to make a phone call, but it really doesn't work out this way. It's just the same as the (bitter) truth that every agent can put up a lawn sign, place a listing on the MLS system, arrange showings, receive offers (it's to be hoped), and get the damn place sold.
However, what makes a website succeed is also what makes an agent succeed. He/she has to have a Unique Selling Proposition (and there's more than one version of this) and the site needs to sell the agent to the visitors.
Easier said than done, needless to say, but there is a handful of experts who know the way of it. They don't come cheap, but one starting point that I have no hesitation in recommending is http://www.recyber.com/
