I was wondering if anyone had input on the best strategy for link anchor text used for directories and link exchanges. I see many variations and am hoping someone could offer opinions on how google views the keywords within the achor text.

If I am targeting multiple keywords with some keywords that are more important than others what is the best method?

For Example: Is "Board Games" by itself within the anchor given more weight than "Board Games, Party Games, and Child Games". Or does Google give same weight to the other variation?

I would be very greatful for any advice to try to get this right going into this huge task.

Try not to use the same anchor text on all pages. Try different variations on different sites. Don't stuff too many keywords in them.

Thanks,
I have read all of that infomation by query but have yet to read anything if Google has two differnt anchors tagged "board games"(ex:below) would one be more desireable than the other.
1.Board Games
2.Board Games, Party Games, and Child Games

Might be something only google knows.

From what I have read from reliable sources, its not the density that matters as much as it existing in the right places. (Mainly talking about h1 and title tags), but i am sure the same logic would apply for anchor links. With of course a cap of maybe so many words or charecters per link.
