we recently consultant with a makeup artist on how to best market her services online. Now given the regular methods of marketing and her limited budget, we didn't think there was enough there to make her standout but we then advise that she use YouTube and MySpace together as a marketing method. We figured given the visual nature of her service, she, with our help, could put together a few 5 - 10 minute clips on makeup application, post it on YouTube and a MySpace page and let the word of mouth marketing begin. Tie it altogether with a great company website, email marketing, logo, web address and email at the end of video and you have a viral marketing campaign going.

Now this was a fairly easy thing to think of because of the visual nature of her service, but can you think of a way of using YouTube and/or MySpace for your company, product(s) and/or service(s)?

Have you checked out this thread on MySpace?

MySpace Profiles for Businesses (http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=67996)

I am sure YouTube, Google Video, etc would br great on syndicating your videos once created.

I've sent bulletins on MySpace and it almost always develops increased traffic to the company's website. I use these bulletins similar to a press release. The end traffic is generally much more than the few people in my group because from what I can see, those people send my info on through their networks as well.

I have never used these two sites for promotions, if I had a video I have put it on my own website. Bandwitdh and space is really cheap so I can use my own space for promotion and sometimes that helps me get more links.

I think such visual nature of services requires good ad presentations, youtube, google & yahoo videos are good source to influence a specific targeted audience by making your ad campaign viral. You may also consider to target celebrity and modeling site, forums & blogs.

I know of lots of successful websites that use Myspace to drive traffic to them. Most of these companies use software programs such as www.adderbadder.com to add thousands of MySpace users to their list. Programs like this can help you add friends from anywhere on MySpace - grab other people's friends, grab friends from Groups, or simply browse for friends by zip code, age, sex, etc.

It's worth checking out: http://www.adderbadder.com
