I have a client who has recently installed Office 2003 on two of their systems. Now when they access their website ( www.waterfrontproperties.com ) they get a runtime error (pointing to javascript in the top navbar.) Oddly it only occurs with the "MLS#" link on the far right side of the bar. The error occurs immediately after clicking on the link. On their systems running earlier versions of Office, everything is fine.

My system is running the same OS (XP Pro) and software (Office 2003 Pro) and I cannot replicate the error.

Anybody have a clue. I believe it is machine dependent but haven't a clue as to where.

It's hard to know the exact answer,

But starting with the basics...
Have they updated all patches for the OS (http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp)AND office (http://office.microsoft.com/OfficeUpdate/default.aspx) ??
and disabled showing script errors in IE advanced tools ?

I had this problem once upon a time also, unfortunately cannot remember what exactly I did to get rid of it... (I know that doesn't help) LOL

Thanks Cyanide..
All recent patches for Office and IE are in place. Forgot about disabling the script error part. I'll call them and check on that.

The error appears to be coming from a script that is in-place as an included file on almost every page in the site (static and dynamic.)

Hi fmtroute,

no problem.
If it helps, I visited that site with no errors coming up
Windows 2000 / Office XP / IE6

Oh, I just realized you meant the mls link
I didn't see that link, unless you have removed it
