Both of my parents are/were educators, so it's really quite cool that Google does so much for the industry. Both parents are/were also history teachers, so when the company announced that the entire public domain document and book collection of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Wisconsin Historical Society Library would be added to the Google Books index, it was kind of exciting.

Anybody else excited about the information access Google is trying to give the world? I hate to sound like a cheerleader, but I just think it rocks.

I have to agree with you.

The goal of indexing all of the world's information seems quite lofty at best. On the surface it seems incomprehensible, but they are making good progress.

I have never played over at Google Book Search (http://books.google.com/). I am going to have to give it a spin.
