Browser Redirection

Hey,
I have had a lot of difficulty (as have most web designers) trying to create a website that is effectively viewable in all (or most) browsers.
I have given up - and would like to create a website for each of the main browsers.

I have two questions :

I intend to create a site for the following browsers...

Netscape / Mozilla (I think they display the same!?)
Opera
and Internet Explorer.

Question ONE - are there any other main-stream browsers I should include a design for?

Question TWO - do any of you have some code you would be willing to give me that will be extremely reliable as a browser redirection for the above browers...?

As far as the type of browsers, I think there are 89 of them? I was reading an article a few weeks ago & I think that's what it said.
