Which CMS is the best to sell an e-book?
I know joomla and mambo, but I don't need all the facilities, communities, etc.

Important is, that people can purchase the book via download-link.

Is there any slightly CMS?
(Because I don't want to use html and set up a download-link at paypal. It's confusing, and too difficult)

Is there any particular reason why you need a CMS to sell an ebook? Why not go with a shopping cart system?

I don't need a shopping cart to provide a download link after payment, right?

First, this is the content discussion forum. The web design forum is where you discuss web site construction software.

Second, a CMS is Not an online version of Frontpage. If you thought dropping the code paypal walks you through confusing, you can't dream of what most CMS installs are like. Cutting and pasting the code PayPal gives you is one thing, learning PHP in order to write the code to accomplish the same thing is another.

One thing you might try is ebook Pro (http://www.ebookpro.com/), which seems like an ebook compatible CMS. (Although I'm not sure). That'll set you back $200.

But of course, this isn't the CMS software forum, it's the content discussion forum. You posted here not because you wanted software advice but advice about writing your ebook -- right?

No, the book is ready.
I have to put the ebook into a new site where I can offer it for download.
I thought CMS is easyer to handle for a non-programmer like me.
(I got the paypal-codes for using html, thanks, that's for the profs...)

If this is the wrong forum, sorry. I didn't mean to get programming advice or ebook help.

I just needed an advice which system to use for selling an ebook via download links. No shopping cart, no ecommerce, no anything else.

Which forum would be the right one?

May be the best is to

1. Make a site / domain with (a stripped down version of) the book title.

2. Then see how RSS Feed Guide (http://www.rssfeedguide.com/) has done it. Click the Buy Now button. I have bougth the book myself. I have no relation to the site. The owner is a WPW member, but I do not remember hers / his nick.
