Categorically speaking

I think that we should have a couple of new, more specific categories in one or two of the forum sections. I propose:
- A CSS/XHTML section. It is becoming an increasingly hot topic, many of us have expressed an interest in learning it. It's becoming very apparent it will be necessary for us to know , also it is difficult to keep track of all the threads relating to it - it's spread out in several categories - ie. site design, web programming, pet peeves, and probably more.

We have a great comunity here that is friendly and open to newcomers, and would be a less intimdating enviornment for most to participate in.

Okay, that is enough for now, I will leave the other idea on the back burner. But I am thinking about something to do with anti-virus and e-mail security.
It would be handy for us to check here in one spot to get all the updates and good advice that is also without a proper home.

So, I said it anyways, and if you need someone to be a mod. or 'supervisor' because there are no bodies to spare, I am sure that I could think of someone real quick, who would love to help ;O)

I mean a real great guy, and I could ask him for you.
I am also glad that you are back again, Brittany, I was getting worried that the other blonde ladies would start to take over, but they were very well behaved. I guess that only makes sense seeing that you are all in it together anyways.

I am hoping that it will be a nice weekend for you as well, Brit, and for us all.

Now -- onto other things
I, too, agree about needing some additional forums. I would add one for "Interactive" -- i.e., the use of bbs, blogs, forums, chats, etc. I don't think that "Content Management" quite cuts it, even though, technically, some fall there.

Yeah, its a tricky one Mik. Coz as it stands, XHTML/CSS/Standarsation fits in a few categories. It really is an Accessibility issue, and a Site Design one, but it also falls into Programming a bit, and off course everyones favourite it has to go in Peeves because of cross-everrything compatability.

I agree tho, I would like to see a category mainly for that. Say one on Coding to Standards? I'm sure it would be quite popular judging by the around the forums response.

The virus one is a good idea too! Thats kind of scattered everywhere too.

And...BTW...we'll have no kissin butts in here!! LOL ;-)

After having searched the forums for the past hour looking for the information I need regarding CSS, (I didn't want to start a new thread until I was sure it hadn't been covered already) I think that a separate section for CSS would be a great idea!
