Can anyone tell me how to create a "results from" list under a Google Search result.

For an example of what I mean, try this:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=holiday+autos
and check out the #1 result.

Cool isn't it? But how do you do this? I have scoured Google's help pages and am still unclear whether this is a Site Map or Google Co-op feature.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

D.

There's nothing you can do to make that happen. Matt Cutts has already explained it is a secret Google algorithm and happens when they decide it happens. You have no control over it. But the sites that have that happen tend to be ranked #1 for a competitive term and seem like an authority site for that subject.

Yeah some secret algo:

1. Be an authority site with some time under belt
2. Domain name as keyword
3. Domain name which is searched for more so than average domain names.
4. Well structured site navigation.

This actually been around for well over a year.

Point in case:
christmas gifts (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-06,GGLG:en&q=christmas+gifts)
cardsdirect (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-06,GGLG:en&q=cardsdirect)

...this is helpful.

I wonder if there are any webmasters out there who have actually had this happen to their site and - if so - whether they have been able to control the outcomes - i.e. what is presented.

Any threads on this already on the forum you could point me to?
