Hi, I am using Adobe Image Ready for website pics. When I take the picture from my digital camera and open it in image ready it is huge (like 1200x1200 for example). So I resize it to around 300-500 pixels or whatever size I need it I let it automatically constrain so it doesnt distort that way. Now my question is why does it look great on my computer but when I look at it on another it comes out looking out of focus and the image in the picture looks smokey right around whatever it is I am taking the picture of. I never knew this was happening until I looked at a pics I had on my website at my brothers house and it looked awful. I compared to another persons pics that look good on my computer as well and his where fine on both computers. So I know I am doing something wrong. I appreciate any help on this. My website if you want to look at the pics is naturecoasttaxidermy.com James

I think you will find it might be a case of just different monitor qualities. I am viewing it at the moment on a Hansol (kind eyes) monitor, and a Viewsonic, both CRT's...and I cant really see a problem, except that maybe some of the ducks themselves are a little dark (nothing drastic), but the image itself looks fine.

Is there a difference to the type of monitors you are comparing them with? Like is one a CRT & one a LCD? With both CRT & LCD you will a difference between monitors of the same sort too, because of age, hues, etc. Newer LCD's have better hues. You could also find that between monitors there will be self controlled contrast, brightness etc.

HTH !
