Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask if there is a need to submit individual pages to search engines? Will that make your webiste pages rank higher? Also, are there any violations to manually submitting your web pages to search engines? Need to know the advantages and disadvantages of this one. Thanks in advance!

Hi chatterfox,

1- If you have a new site, you don't need to submit it to SE, just get a few quality, related links for it, SE will follow the links and find your site.

2- You don't submit individual pages (to directories), just submit the home page, have a good site and linking structure and a good sitemap.

3- Submissions should be done manually.

Chatterfox,

the only submission I'd recommend is to DMOZ. But make sure its to the right category.
