Yesterday for one of my targated keywords my site was in top but today I found it in sixty five. What's going on? Am I not updated with recent google news?

Rankings fluxuate now on Google. Ranking stability is a thing of the past.

Loosing rankings overnight is not the norm though. it appears like an old fashion dance in the works.

Welcome to BigDaddy and Google. Loosing rank overnight is the norm. Here's the crazy part. You can have page #1 serps on some datacenters and be buried on others.

Crazy nuts or crazy funny?
Jaan is saying the same thing. The thread I started mimics this thread.
What is the point? I am going old school here and, really not attempting to pi$$ anyone off, here is my two cents.
MONEY! STOCK OPTIONS. WALL STREET ESTIMATES.
Where are you going with this Michael????
I may be crucified for this but stay with me.
1) Google needs to make $ for its investors.
2) How does one make MONEY? You sell stuff
3) Goizzles business model is... Tiffany???? AD SALES
4) How to generate more adwords sales? Let people get the taste of the first page. It’s like heroin. The dealers give you the first hit free.
5) Keep them coming back! You like the high... you want it again... now your investors want more return.
6) (Almost there.. stay with me now)
7) Now Goizzle has you. Now you want front page again but the Algorithm has changed. What to do... what do you do?
8) AdSense/Adwords - Goizzle have your “fix” and its only $.10USD per “hit”! (Funny how the words are the same huh?)
9) You take the free $50 signing bonus... Buy a nickel, get a dime (now I am really not sure of the drug lingo but are you getting the point?)
10) And the big one.... 4th Quarter is approaching. This is the quarter that makes or breaks your business. You have to get sales. Just like last year Goizzle does the major Dance/Mick-and-the-boys/Big Momma/(insert new name here) and GOOG sales jump, stock price jump, options are opted, millionaires become Billionaires and YOU, get broke!
God I love this board!
(Sneaking out of Dodge before the bullets fly)
And who was the group that sang.... “And I still have not found what I am looking for?”
My story and I am sticking with it!
Michael
PS. You gotta love the boys from Ireland! U2!

I think the problem isn't Goggle. It's the real lack of competitive balance.
How is a site good enought to be ranked on the 1st page and then drop to #684? A ranking algorithm that has this much instability, starts to loose credibility at some point.
It seems to me that google has concentrated much on Title tag and fresh content. Because few days back I changed few of my page's title tag and those are getting good results. Also pages whose contents are regularly updated are also getting good response. So google once again trying to reach web users with relevant information. That's good. However I have found few good and regularly updated blogs are also coming up for few competitetive keywords, though those blogs have nothing to do with those keywords.
For example: My friend in his blog describe about his experience regarding driving his own car mentioning the name of the brand of the car company. No where else he has used the name of the car company anymore. His blog is coming in the top page with that competetive keywords. His blog is nothing to do with that keywords. So it prooves fresh content is getting much priority, however sometimes deviating from delivering search relevant results.
