Hey,

I have a dedicated server. The server comes with 5 IP's available to use, and additional cost extra.

I have 2 ips for the nameservers.
I have 6 domains sharing the same IP address.

What effect if any would this have on the search engines?

Really, it doesn't have much of an effect. The only time I've heard of anything is when you're first trying to get a site indexed. It seems as if some of the bots do a HTTP/1.0 request first, which doesn't support name based hosting, then come back later with 1.1 to see what the difference is.

You do realize that you can use those 2 that you're using for nameservers for hosting as well, right?
