Both searches at msn.com and msn.co.uk seem to be working fine now.
Could be a number of reasons for the search function being down from the number of users online to a temporary glitch in either server or on your PC.

It's always amusing when something like this happens...
MSN? Down? That's like saying the Sun has just been switched off for a few minutes...
In a recent interview with God, the New York Times can reveal some insider information about the recent outage of solar energy. "I would like to apologie on behalf of Heaven, Inc. about this recent break in supply which was caused by an unexpected fault. Our angels are working hard to fix this problem as soon as possible and service is expected to be restored by 5pm this afternoon". Although the exact nature of the failure was not explained, we can confirm that it must have been... out of this world.

rofl adbart :-)
Since the anouncement this afternoon relating to the 'outage of solar energy', one of Gods minions admitted that:
"This was unfortunately due to a mistake on our part, we let loose into the atmosphere some foreign unhealthy particles which came back to cause us more trouble."
There have been calls from hells department that the minion responsible should be removed from office. However, God is sticking by his man.
In other reports, God was reportedly heard to say that this matter is totally unrelated to the other minion who has been fleecing heavens funds, flying around in two angel carts whenever he pleased, non-payment of cloud taxes etc.

It seems to be a regular feature of MSN at the moment as the same message was showing Monday night this week for about 5 minutes.
Ironic that when everyone is scratching their head as to what Google is doing, and the quality of its SERPS, MSN take their eye off the quality of their availability.
