Hi folks: I'm fairly new to this site. So, if you see my questions posted previously, feel free to refer me to previous post.

My question is concerning the following search term using google.

"link:www.mysite.com"

The one without a space between a colon and the www.

We keep tab of this search term for our site. It was holding steady between 500 to 1000, but recently, it got dropped to around 70. This is quite disconcerting, and just want to see if there is any insight on why we were dropped.

Thanx!

shogunner,
I see what you mean - if we're talking about the site in your profile?

I got 69 on Google but am showing 38,000 on Y! and 37,800 on AllTheWeb which are better engines for an accurate check of IBL's.

Someone may want to add why Google dropped so many links?

It's an oddity I can't explain. And the search term for my site:

site: www.bargaintix.com
(with a space between the colon and the www)

is holding strong between 10,000 and 15,000...

What's the difference between looking at it with/without a space betwen the colon and the www?
