I received this in my inbox today and fell about the floor laughing.

iTunes Under Siege In France

By David A. Utter

"After their call to arms by French President Chirac to top Google at search was laughed off the Internet, the French retreated to their dismal cafés to smoke evil cigarettes and plot against American technical superiority again. "

"Apparenly, someone with a wacky sense of humor, and we're guessing we can thank our British friends, has suggested the French force Apple to open up its Fairplay DRM scheme and permit users to download songs from iTunes to any media player. "

Firstly David, American technical superiority

How smug. This is exactly why the English have a real dislike for Americans in generaL Don't believe what you might be drip fed in your newspapers or see on your TV newsfeeds. We hate, "In the USA we do everything better" and all that type of bull. It's what our government want you and us to believe.

Secondly, whilst we dislike the French in general, America is a close second or in many English peoples' minds, a firm first.

Apart from the above and the fact that you don't even speak English, it was a good article.

So you've polled every single person in Britain and they all said "yes, I dislike Americans?"

I'll file that under "unlikely." I am glad you got a chuckle out of the article. I sure got one out of this post. :)

I'm sorry - being British myself I have a huge list of other countries that rank above America in dislikes.
