Hello Everyone,

This may be a stupid question but I need to know whether you can open a file that was created in Dreamweaver in FrontPage.

Someone has asked me to change a template but I only use Dreamweaver and he wants to be able to edit it in FrontPage and then upload it to his server.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

All the Best,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer
The simple answer should be yes as both FrontPage and Dreamweaver create .htm files.

Hi Jennifer.. Hm, knew a Jennifer Tripp when I was in the military.

Yes you can. If you do upload the files though via FTP they can corrupt the FP extensions. Your customer would need to possiby just contact the hosting company to have them reinstalled.

Hi Jennifer,

Sending your client this template page should be pretty straight forwad. Create it as you normally would and just email it to them along with any images.

Your client should be able to just copy and paste the html into FrontPage. They will have to remember also to upload any graphics/images to the proper directory.
