View Full Version : NetSol
Is anyone else having problems registering and processing payment for domain names with NetSol? We have used NetSol exclusively for 8 years, but within the last couple months have had numerous problems with being able to process simple purchases online, which has resulted in wasting over 30 hours of our development time dealing with petty issues (not to mention the frustration). We have tried everything possible, including setting up a new account, speaking with customer service, trying multiple credit cards and verifying with credit card companies that it isn't a problem on their end, filled out customer service surveys- nothing works or seems to get through that the problem lies outside of our control. In the mean time, we can't register domain names for our clients. (If we register elsewhere, then we have to pay extra to move the name over, (and that is an absolutely unnecessary and inappropriate expense for our clients) Anyone else having similar problems? ideas?

Why is it essential to use NetSol. I reccomend using godaddy. Not only are they cheaper but I have had no problems at all with them.

Hi bvi,
Welcome to WebProWorld !
The one thing I don't understand is "If we register elsewhere, then we have to pay extra to move the name over"
Normally the only thing you pay is the yearly rate.
And you would receive an extra year tacked onto your domain name. So, really you're not paying extra
We have hundreds and hundreds registered in one accout with NetSol, and to manage it is easier to keep everything at one place, in one acct. I thought there were fees to register names elsewhere, and then move them to NetSol. Not to mention the wasted time in the extra step. Is no one else having this problem??It is so strange.

You are right, bvi. According to http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/consolidatedomains/ the cost is $19 to transfer domains to NS.
Other hosts charge more, some less.
Yes, it might be an extra step/ hassle, but it may be what works temporarily while you are trying to fix the issues you are having.
