Help with logo needed

I am currently developing a logo for a new international dial up service called Global Roam, but am having real problems. Does anyone have any ideas. I am trying to keep away from cliched images of the world, and all the things you usually see associated with the word global.

Use the Kiss theory and you can't go wrong. If you aren't firmilar with the kiss theory here it is again. "Keep it simple stupid" not directing the stupid but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that complicated logos do not market well.. just look at brick and mortars for ideas.. none of the fortune 500 have flashy logos but people still remember what they look like. Maybe just use the initals .. A site that I'm going to be working on soon has the perfect logo. www.sharpstudent.com very simple but it's somehting you can remember.

I agree with the other comments
Your website doesn't seem to suit a complicated logo or anything too bold, maybe something like a heart beat tracing would suit. You should try playing around with a single colour to to match your banner at the top of the page.
