I have a web site I created about 6 years ago. The site comes up either number one or on page one of almost every search engine for all our search phrases. We are getting hits but missing a lot of sales. This year, we decided a problem could be the name of our site. It doesn't match the products we sell now.
We came up with a new domain name to fit the business and I created a new site. The new domain was slow moving up the search engines and I was pressured to move the new design to the old site. We now have two sites that look the same except company name. The new site has started coming up on page one of some search engines for some search phases.
Should I point both domains at the same site and just submit the new domain name to the search engines? What is the best way to make a move like this?
