I've just watched a BBC News TV programme hyping something called Flock. Apparently there's a huge conference in Holland working on this new product that's about to replace Internet Explorer as the next generation of web browser.

There's was no mention of Firefox. And the TV programme gave the impression that everyone uses IE. As you can probably guess I'm a Firefox user. There are no references on the BBC website. So what is Flock?

You know I heard about it today and their website is utter crap. Doesn't really tell you what it is.

Best I can tell it's based off of the Mozilla source and is centered around AJAX/Web 2.0 websites. Rather than have your own local bookmarks, your bookmarks are stored on del.icio.us, stuff like that.

Honestly, I think it's all hype and would personally never consider using it.

Evic,

here's a link to the BBC news report.

I just think they missed a trick by not mentioning Firefox.
