Good day.

I'm in a bind. My company has declined to renew their franchise agreement of 15 years and are going it out on their own.

I've been called upon as resident designer (by experience, not position) to come up with a logo within 2 weeks time, and I've not created anything I'd be comfortable associating with.

The company name is "Pro Printing Solutions". We are a small (5-person) offset-printing company who also specializes in bulk mailing. We do a bit of design, but it's not something we advertise. Very customer-service oriented and personable.

As far as the logo goes, I am leaning towards not doing much with the logotype itself (which will be developed from the Futura font family), and instead focusing on the logo for recognition purposes.

Ideal-wise, the owners want to try to get across that we assist from design to delivery and are very knowledgable and professional. They want the logo to communicate speed to some extent, but it's not their primary consideration.

I'd like to keep it black for the time being, and very simplified.

I would love to get any input anyone has for this logo. I am not getting anywhere with this. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Stay orange.

First thing I thought of, was the logo name in Futura in white & italics. Black background. Racing lines (like in comic books) behind the object in the direction of the text's lean.

Perhaps also a ripleyer (AKA TV scan lines) with a slight glow around the text and racing lines.

What about the silohette of a printing machine on the right side of the logo with black and white lines starting at the left side and going horizontally over to the machine indicating movement? I am new to the business and not sure of the jargon but hope you know what I mean.
Hope this helps get the wheels turning.
