Suggestions for affiliate programs to join here please

I have a website selling computer hardware and systems and want to offer people around a 5% commission on sales generated from their links to my site. Please can you guys place suggestions here on where to go find people willing to participate in this sort of a program. Once traffic builds I also want to place advertisements on my site on behalf of affiliates to put back into the cycle what I get.

1st you need to invest in some software or an affiliate network and set it up for affiliates. Then you need to advertise your affiliate program.

If you mean then you want to become an affiliate yourself and advertise other people's products on that same site??? Not a good idea. You affiliates won't like it. They consider it a "leak" of their hard earned traffic.

Thanks for the advice. I am in the middle of SEO and then affiliate marketing. I will start my homework on it now.
