I am not sure if self promotion is allowed, I think it's only allowed to put a link in your signature.
Anyway, I am not using the service, as I am not from Asia, but hopefully this will be a good and safe solution for merchants in that region. So, I hope it will become a reputable company.

If it is covering especially those Asian countries where paypal unable to reach, this can be a good step, secondly it should protect the right of buyers and sellers both and also should be able to protect them from fraudulent transaction.
MichelH

...also should be able to protect them from fraudulent transaction.
If there is one processor in the world who can protect both the merchant and the seller against fraudulent transactions, please let me know as soon as possible!~I think more people might be interested in this...

MichelH,
In general every processor should research, analyze and innovate ideas how to protect both the merchant and the seller against fraudulent transactions, this is the actual need that the processing companies are basically lacking behind.
I do agree there is no any payment processor in the world that can protect both, but no one has closed the door for finding an idea and solution for it.
The greatest inventions are the proof of the power of infinite intelligence from the finite mind.

Yes, I understand.
Unfortunately, there is not one company in the world who can stop fraudulent transactions.
Secondly, the credit card companies are the ones that should come up with the best formats to do so, as they have the power and money to initiate such things.
Hopefully, things will get better eventually.

Right, the logical assumption of a payment processor is that both parties want to co-operate to find a mutually acceptable solution at a comfort zones which is built through their expectations and live experience based on relationship.

Dear Forum
Thanks for your warm welcome!
Sorry for my late reply, I was really busy.
I will try to answer to all of you because you got really interesting point!
I will try to be no to much technical, all is clearly stated in the website anyway.
1) Dear zippee, nice to meet you, yes the website was opened but not operative let say from 1 February 2005 to 1 July. Good things sometimes take times.
The AsianPay website is online and fully operative since more than 2 months already.
Today 17/9 our maintenance is in progress for install new graphic release of the website, cleaning of the database, implementation of new features.
36h from now you will be able to use it!
We do hope to see your company between our merchants. There will be a great offer soon! For every merchant that accept to use our services... not free useless webcash! but free banner exposure on our website.
We will help you also to integrate AsianPay system in your own script of the shopping cart. No problem at all. Just contact our admin.
2) Dear Michael, you can use AsianPay also if you are not in Asia, many features will be useful also for people and merchants not in Asia.
What is clear is that the Asian market is right now uncovered.
Not all the users are happy with the usual Payment Processor. We will try to be different and offer a good 24/7 customer support.
How can avoid fraudulent transactions? This is a good point indeed.
Only our certified members will be able to use the credit card for the transactions. That it means that we know already who they are (we require documents for certify the members).
Of course nothing is 100% safe, 100% does not exist but in this way believe me will lower at minimum fraudulent transactions risk. We do not allow everyone (like other payment processors do) to use the credit card, first we want to be sure and Certify the user.
3) Dear Etechsupport, you right, everything can happen between Buyer and Seller they have to negotiate and AsianPay will protect both with Due Diligence.
Sellers are already well protected from the minimum level of Fraudulent Transaction of AsianPay. They will be also warned from AsianPay when the transaction is only pending and not confirmed. Than it is their responsibility to send goods or to provide services.
If the seller can not prove with documents and tracking number the delivery AsianPay will possibly refund the buyer.
I hope that all of you got the answers, fell free to ask, once again sorry for my late reply.
Regards

Hi wish71, the discount rate is reasonable for this kind of service, but the withdrawal fee ($25 for Intl.) is too much for many sellers, especially those in Asia countries. I'm not sure many of my clients will like it! 2Checkout.com offer $5 withdrawal fee for a number of countries in their own currency, and £12 for others (include many Asia countries) in USD. Not sure Asianpay will reduce it?

wish71,
I think still it's hard to protect both the Buyer and the Sellers for any processor except providing them a smooth platform or a comfort zone to negotiate each others and to find a mutually acceptable solution.
However I appreciate your efforts for replying to this thread and I feel that there is really need of a good processing company especially for Asian countries and wish that you people will provide your best service and support.
Wish you all the best!

I scanned thru the site and mailed .i got no response.may be they are scared of Nigerians.Im sure it has nothing to offer to any country in Africa.

Dear Olufemi
I apologize about that, believe me, we have nothing against any African countries, we accept already some of them, and believe me is our interest to accept every contry and be a worldwide service.
As you know many scam and fraud come from Nigeria, I receive e-mail daily of people offering me millions of dollars... may of them are from Nigeria.
Also if we ignore that and accept the risk, the Bank in Thailand (and not only here) have a strict policy on that and they will stop or make problems to this kind of transctions.
I do hope that things for your country will change soon.

Dear zippee
You must consider:
1) 49 USD just for join them / AsianPay is free
2) 5 USD is just for some local currency (only 38 currency and countries are available and many are missing)than the fee will be already 20 or 12 USD
3) AsianPay is dealing with the Bank for reduce withdraw fees, will depend on the volume of the business.
4) With the next release of the services customers will be able to chose a "minimum" ammount level in their balance, when they will achive that all their money will be authomatically withdrawed to their bank account.
5) AsianPay will be anyway more safe, chargebacks will be really at minimum level. I guess that it worth the cost! In the next release we have introduce another verification level: unverified, verified, certified.

I am not sure if self promotion is allowed, I think it's only allowed to put a link in your signature.
I have seen a lot of self-promotion, especially in this forum, so I do not think that it really matters unfortunately
As far as AsianPay, it reminds me of Ikobo. In the forums I admin / moderate, we blocked the word Ikobo and now we are doing the same with AsianPay
MichelH

Well, I think Asiapay could be a viable option. Of course, they will have to proof themselves in the next coming months.
I have never trusted the good reviews about Ikobo as they always seem to come from forum members who only posted 2 or 3 messages, all about Ikobo.

Let us hope they'll come up with good solution. Another e-commerce company chronopay based at Netherlands coming up very fast with their good service and support. We hope these companies will enable the online merchants good alternative option to process with their actual need and expectation in a secured environment.

There is one thing I don't understand:
'Only our certified members will be able to use the credit card for the transactions. That it means that we know already who they are (we require documents for certify the members). '
Does he mean that customers need to sign up first with AsianPay, just as with Paypal?

Dear MichaelH
Yes with AsianPay the customers need to sign up and be certified members before pay something using the Credit Card.
This is the main security measure.

"I have seen a lot of self-promotion, especially in this forum.....

I think that eveyone should be free to talk in the forums about a new service regarding the matter of the forum itself of course, without spam anyone, and following the rules.
In my case I just opened 1 topic and I have used the topic for reply to many interesting question coming from the member of this forum.
There is only one way to judge, try the services.
Best Regards.

Why did you implement a feature that nobody likes?
The biggest complaint Paypal service has is that customers need to sign up first before they pay, causing a lot of people to abandon the merchant's website.
I am just curious to know why AsianPay has installed this feature. Please don't tell me it is security...

I was check out the asianpay site as we interested to use it for our dating web site www.like2date.com. When I look at the site I find a message that MasterCard is no longer supported. Is this temporally or will it stay that way? I think a CC processor must be able do all the major credit Cards. Also, what’s next? No longer support for Amex and Visa???
I would like to know what you did that Master Card no longer want to work with asianpay?

Dear Sir
As stated in the website AsianPay works together with ThaiEpay a gateway provider linked with the Bank of Asia.
Unfortunately at the present time there are some problems between Mastercard and Bank of Asia (all of that of course is not under our control).
ThaiEpay has suddendly stopped all the Mastercard Transactions.
AsianPay was forced then also to stop. AsianPay will be really happy to accept MasterCard again, we will strive to accept all the Cards.

MasterCard is the worst credit card company for internet related sales. They are doing everything they can to get rid of non US third party processing companies.
They do no longer allow third party processing which means they force third party processing companies to set up merchants in their own region directly with the acquiring bank for their own merchant account and descriptor. A third party processing company from Europe is only allowed to set up merchants from the E.U.!
In the meanwhile, they do allow the same business models from the U.S. (2CheckOut, CCNow, IBill) and those companies are allowed to accept businesses from all over the world. Talking about an unfair advantage! MasterCard is operating from New York and they are in favour of US processing companies.
My advice to all merchants outside the U.S. would be: Get rid of MasterCard as soon as possible and only promote Visa and Amex. Maybe that will open up their eyes.
