Looking for a free CMS (not shareware) that runs on Windows 98 SE.

Are there any out there?

I found several at download.com:

These are a few. Hope this helps.

Hi pcwebdesign,

Just curious why you would want to run it on Win 98?
Is it because you want to run it on your desktop?

Are you planning to put live on the net for all to see ? If yes, may I suggest you install Apache, php, MySQL on your pc. Alot of CMS run on this system. Then you can install the CMS in a live environment and then copy files from your local files to the server.
You can pick up an easy to install package here www.firepages.com.au - Look for phpdev423

This site is great for testing some CMS for free and reading reviews
--> Have a look here http://www.opensourcecms.com

Take a look here Postnuke (http://www.postnuke.com)it is a great cms tool with alot of support and free add ons. I agree with cyanide about the apache/php/mysql statement. It seems most cms run on this environment.

Hi pcwebdesign

If you're looking for a free, readily customisable solution I would recommend ASPApp.com - just complete their basic registration process and then you can check out this link http://www.aspapp.com/apps/downloads.asp?contentid=141 to download full source code for a Portal application that is packed full of CMS features.

Should you be looking to build your own CMS model from basic components, you could have a look at the free downloads available at the following url: https://ebconcepts.com/asp/asp_components.asp.

Have fun

Paul
