Alexa Traffic Rank

My Alexa traffic rank shows that it went up by 2,555,399

It went from 3,600,000 to about 1,600,000... I just started my SEO campaign so that would explain the big jump but my question is does this indicate that I am doing well and would I be correct in assuming once I get to below 1,000,000 it will be much more difficult to move up quickly?

Should I be focusing on traffic rank?

Thats only probably because you installed the toolbar on your computer.

If I shouldn't be looking at Alexa what else should I use to measure performance? Page Rank alone or some other methods?

There is only one criteria:
How much traffic are you getting that converts to sales.

Hmmm i would agree with CBP but i would expand sales to include, sign ups and increased CTR.
