Hi there,

Can any of you guys see any reason why the MSN bot will not crawl our site www.thehealthzone.co.uk ? I mean it's a couple of years old and Google has 10,000 + pages index, even yahoo has 3,000+

We currently have a total of 4 pages in the MSN index, which is pretty pitiful.

Cheers all!

It seems as if MSN is working away on your website, it's simply taking time. As of this post you have 79 pages index'd.

Wait, I just hit next page and it's jumped to 206 - MSN is definitely crawling your website at this very moment.

You have a valid sitemap, layout is pretty much nothing special to cause a problem, URLs are well-named albeit a bit long.

I really can't come up with a reason other than a bit of impatience on your part. I find it a bit odd the index jumped so drastically after this post. Maybe you just needed one more backlink (the one you posted) for MSN's crawler to realize it hasn't done a very good job on your site. :)

Same problem, G ok, but MSN has no content about our website http://www.coolurlaub.de or http://www.coolurlaub.de/urlaub-reisen-ferien-last-minute/. Any idea about it?

Many Thanks

Well months later and MSN is still not taking an interest in our site www.thehealthzone.co.uk not sure why. It is easy to navigate, both google and yahoo love it.

Pages update almost daily with new / extra content and all are very accessible.

MSN Bot just will not crawl many of the pages, any ideas?

Have also seen this, we are number one in Google for many of our chosen keywords and we do OK in Yahoo but MSN - we suck.

I see sites that have only just been created are walking all over us but do seem quite spammy. Looks to me like MSN are quite easy to fool. Don't know how it's possible (would rather not know) but seems it's not very good at spotting these sites yet.

Hopefully as time goes on it will improve, it has to - for our sanity if nothing else. Although I've not installed Vista since an old beta a while ago but I can guess that there will be a heavy emphasis to use MSN search as opposed to any other, users of MSN Messenger are already forced to switch MSN Search off so it's only a matter of time before users are forced to NOT use MSN Search on Microsoft's Operation Systems. If that happens I'm sure SEO tactics will change yet again.

Cheers,
Andy

what are you talking about, your domain comes up with all sorts of stuff including your car dealership, the healthclub and a high content web site directory. Hmmm, maybe you are doing too much on that domain?

Is this a health club or a bunch of link and ad farms? I did not go further.

MSN is the fastest and best of the engines right now. You are obviously in a dark corner and crossing lines that are not normal. So, enjoy it.

Since I have no idea what key words you are looking for there, is it health club, buy a car, used cars, link farm?
