Hello,
The basket of flowers is nice though you should consider changing the total size of the logo as it takes a more banner shape when you look at it for the first time. Also I think you should use the words without shadow and to change the back ground color to a more light color.
Thanks

I have couple simple comments.
Move about five or six feet from your screen and try to read it.
Now try to look at your logo for more then 2-3 minutes.
Another excersize. Ask one of your friends to look at the logo for 8 seconds, then turn away from the screen and ask that person to describe the logo for you, what kind of feelings it brings out, and what kind of impact it leaves on the person.
Then you will lget all the answers you need.
Also, make color variations to see how it works in black and white, on print and low color modes.
Cheers.

Thank you both of you for your input. I will think about your suggestions and see what I can do. To change the background color would mean to change it on the website as well.... Hmmm
Thanks,
Jurgen

Drop shadows do not work on dark fonts. They blur the edges, making the text difficult to read, and clash colors. Consider brainstorming an original logo that will help you stand out from the competition. A effective logo is not a cool font with special effects and a clipart visual. Uniqueness is the key ingredient. Sit down and make a list of your competitive advantages and then brainstorm symbols (on paper first) or ideas that you feel will help people associate your company with those benefits in a new way.
Take Care,

Hi,
I agree, the drop shadow has to go. It is very difficult to read the words. If you can't change the background color, consider a more complimenting color such as a navy blue and instead of having look like a banner, why not try curving the name around the basket of flowers.
One other thing that I would suggest, when making a logo, website, etc. make sure that you use the proper words and spelling of them. The part that says "More then just silk & dried flowers" should read "More than just silk & dried flowers". Sorry if I seem to be picking on you, I am not. I would just like to see you do it right.
Keep working on it and I am sure that you will come up with something.

I am not sure I like this as far as logos go, to me it more like a banner. A very good banner, but still that.
Your name brings to mind, something totally distinctive, colorful and smaller. This I know is not an easy subject to cover, so I wish you luck with the logo, and would love to know what you do with it.
All the best of luck here.
