Actually I have a couple that I use all the time. The latest is this one.

and the one I use even more than that one.

Then on another blog I use the following.

Another blog uses this one.

Those are just a few I use constantly. And if you will email me at

How would you like to have some great logos like those? If you would all you have to do is send me an email and I'll tell you about a website where you can go and make all of them you want for free. I'll tell you up front that those logos were made with Xara version 5.0 and yes, the full program costs $40 but the online banner maker is absolutely free and you don't have to buy anything. I did buy the full Xara version but the truth is that I actually like the on line freebie version much better than I do the full version and I'm betting you would too.

So much so that I would actually advise against buying the full version. Especially if you are not a well experienced graphics person to start off with.
Professionals might feel differently, I don't know.

Normally I would delete a blatent self-promotion like this, however, I think this post is a perfect example of what 'not' to do when creating an effective logo.

I only use the top one as a true logo. All the rest I use as separators on various blogs I have.

On blogs one tries to make at least one post a day to his blog and so I use the appropriate logo once a day most days. Separates the messages I post.

So if you feel those are so bad I'd appreciate knowing your reasons and thinking please.

Right now I'm getting a few thousand visitors a day that don't seem to mind them at all.
