I've been having a series of email conversations with Tristan Louis, who has been trying to understand how well "A-List Bloggers" do in the major search engine based on links. The problem, I've been explaining, is that links and various other counts don't paint the picture you might expect. With his permission, I'm sharing much of our correspondence below.
