Hello

Could anyone give me a brief or just a rough idea on what Viral marketing is?

I thought it was like sending a flash game out to generate traffic? For instance?

I just don't get it!!

Cheers
Joe.

When something is viral it is easily passed around from person to person. Viral marketing is the use of an e-book that has your affilite links inside and the e-book can be copied and passed around from person to person. You can give viral e-books away to your website visitors.

Also, if you buy the "Master Reprint Rights" or "Reprint Rights" for an e-book, quite often you will be given an affiliate link that will allow you to collect a commission for the purchase of reprint rights by anyone who wants to buy the reprint rights to the book you gave away.

Your e-book gets passed around from person to person, making it a viral markteting strategy.

Here's an example of a free viral eBay Auctions e-book that has affiliate links embedded in the book:

By the way, if that link gets snipped go to my website and you will find lots of viral e-books on the right hand side of the page. My site link is just below...

Joe, you can use video games as viral marketing tool.

You add a nice free game to a web page that of course has also to promote some product or service. You also add a way that allows to send via email the URL with the funny game to friends and that way you get free promotion to the product/service that is also present on the web page.
If a lot of people like the game and suggest it to other ones the viral effect brings many new visitors from many different sources for free.

The creation of a free game to market a product is a great suggestion. How does one find an inexpensive designer for such an endeavor?
