Assuming that most of the readers are attepting to sell you lots of text links, I'd like to ask the readers of this thread, how do I go about selling ad space on my website? I mean, i don't have enough visitors to sell with a broker, and Google Ad words is a mystery all together...

I offer banner advertising for $5.00 per month, I'll not aiming toward a surrealisitic income. But it would make me feel a little better if I sold enough to pay for web hosting, web advertising, etc.

So, how does a webmaster of a new website start selling ad space?
