Can anyone tell me how well the MSN Search engine responds to inbound links comming in from sub-domains? I have many on page in-bound links, but I really want to find out if it's more beneficial to create several sub-domains, or if I should register new domains altogether to feed myself backlinks?
Thanks,

It depends if you're going to feed your new domains some external links or not as to if that'll really have much value or not. A domain on an island shouts and the search engines never hear it.

Yes, I do plan to have alot of external inbound links. That'll hopefully help. My whole reason for asking this question, is because it seems to me that MSN places lots of value on internal inbound links.

Sub-domain names count just like a domain name would. All the major search engines see sub-domian names as being the same as a domain name.
The good thing about them is they see the date of the domain name as the date for the sub-domain name.

If you host the sub-domain name on a different IP address it is even better.
