Hi Friends,

With lot of experts around with different knowledge & expereicne base & many articles floating around about sandbox effect etc.I just want to know from your point of view :-

[Question ] For a new website what is the reasonable SEO time for top 20 position in Google

(Assuming that a website is made in a structured way with decent content + good link building work + used ethical SEO practices etc.)

Thanks & Regards,

For what keyword?

How old is the site?

There is really no way to know. I have seen sites that look easy take 3 or 4 months and sites that look hard take two days.

A huge factor seems to be the competitiveness of the search term. Some sites take a few days to a few weeks while others take many months. I have one site that is still sandboxed for over 9 months now. It just depends on the site, and the key terms.

Hi Janeth,

No doubt keywords wise it will vary but I have seen that minimum 6-9 months its takes for a new website ( say one month old site) even for a average competitive keywords like "Lock Washers" , thermoforming machines"

I am just looking for some cases where in shortest time top 20 ranking has been achived for a average competitive keywords.

Except for very odd unique keywords ( which no one will use ) I am of the opinion than miminimum 6-9 months is must for any website to surface out in top 20 Google results .

What do you think ?
