I just recieved a fairly large project that I might work on, but I am not sure what price to quote. The page will be very extensive and probably the biggest I have done in a while. They have not specified a budget, and I do not want to quote too high or low, here are their requirements

1 Brochure

1 Logo

1 Business Card

10 Page Website with some flash on the main page

Dynamic Content Management

I was wondering what you all would quote for a project like this.

That depends on many things. Will you be writing the content? Does the quote need to reflect printing costs? How many rounds of proofs does this include? Is it considered a ruh project?

What you need to do is break down each aspect of the project and REALISTCALLY (be wary of trying to low-ball to get the job and end up losing money) estimate how much time you will need to complete each part. Then add about 30% of time for the "just in case" factors. I recommend that you include in your quote that any unused time will not be billed.

I would also include a breakdown of how much time is going to be needed for each part of the project, specify a timeline, specify how many rounds of proofs are included in the estimate…the usual stuff.
