Hi All,

Recently the descriptive text that usually accompanies search engine results disappeared from our result.

Google first and now I notice Yahoo also has the same problem.

Basically only the URL is displayed for our results. Example:

Google result Example (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Queensland+Holidays+&btnG=Google+Search&meta=cr%3DcountryAU)

We have two URL’s displaying in Google, we recently re-launched our site after a major redesign. The www.queensland-holidays.com.au address is the “old” URL and www.queenslandholidays.com.au is the new address.

I have checked with the guys who maintain this content and they advise nothing has changed with that meta data recently.

I’m wondering if anyone can spot why this is happening?

This is what Google call 'partial indexing' - my understanding is that it means Google knows about the URL (presumably from links to the site) but has either not crawled the site or had a problem crawling the site last time it was there (eg site may have been down) or can not crawl the site (eg robots.txt file - - - at least this is what I understanding it to mean.

If there is no prob with the site, it should come right next time the googlebot visits.
