Our business offers grief and health recovery products and resources. After review of my site, suggestions included adding "discussion" "message" or "chat" opportunities for people to share what they are experiencing.

I also want to provide a way for people to send on-line sympathy and get well greeting cards. Because of the nature of my business, I don't want to "clutter" the site, but feel these two ideas worth exploring.

How do I go about adding a section for people to share/discuss and utilize an on site free service for sending cards? Thanks for any input.

Assuming your host has php installed:

I always reccomend phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com) for software to base a forum on. It is very popular (this forum is based on it) and free.

I have never installed any kind of chat program on any of my sites, but a google search (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=php+chat+free) turned up these promising results, most are free.

Hope that helps.

phpMyChat is a good chat program & relatively easy to install. I am pretty sure its available from the link Flood6 mentioned http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Chat_Scripts/

phpBB is a good forum (I think thats what WPW run) & is available from http://www.phpbb.com

You will have to check with your host server to see if they have mySQL (the database), and if they will set it up for you, or if you have to set it up yourself.

If you want to find out more about them maybe ask in one of the programming forums where they discuss things such as php, etc.
