I currently have satisfactory SE positions for search terms that I want with our existing HTML site at www.citypublife.co.uk.

I don't believe that I should build a site around tempramental search engines whether their singing, dancing, visiting Florida etc. So, I am rebuilding our HTML site (not our flash driven portal) in newly aqcuired dreamweaver 2004 MX. (never done this before). And, hopefully launching on Monday next.

My question is, with regard sub domains. Does it matter to search engines whether a sub domain is /function.htm /function rooms.htm or /functionrooms.htm? Which, if any, would help ranking for the term function rooms?

Also, if anybody can review, comment and give me tips on my efforts so far, especially those using netsacape or other various browsers, it would be very much appreciated.
My effort can be found at www.citypublife.co.uk/index9.htm

Many thanks

This is really a very good question and yes I think it does make a difference to different search engines.

If it were me having to do this I would use this
fuction-rooms.html or htm I have found through my own subdomains that this does make a difference in rankings.

Just seperate your keywords with a - because these are the keywords i am sure you will have in your website text.

You would not have fuctionroom all in one word to see some examples of this in action visit my website and click through the links.

Most of my sites that are linked to my main site are in the top 10 positions.
