Hello,
I have found that I have linked with some sites that have multiple site and have the same links. I did a check of there link & it say they have over 15,000 & they place #1 on msn and on the first page or 2 of yahoo and google. But when you go to marketleap to check there link history. It shows they just started linking today. And there are many, many sites that are like this and are in the 1 & 2 pages of search engines. Are they doing something that is black hat-ish or is that the way you do it?? Please let me know. I am finally on page 4 msn for my top keyword and I don't want to mess it up by linking with bad sites.

Thanks

Maureen

The information in Markleap does not mean the website just started linking today. It means that today is the first time Markleap measured their link popularity.

Also, the total links shown are not necessarily an indication of external links. I have a web site that is in alpha testing, and currently has about 17,000 pages. I have only one web site linking to it, just so the SEs can start indexing it. I don't think there are any other external links (no one knows about this site). The Marketlead report shows 4,111 links for my site starting today. Those have to be essentially all internal links.

So, although Markleap provides some useful information, you'll need to do additional research to determine why the sites that have the top spots are in those positions.

Thank you for the answer, I was wondering about the multiple site sharing links too? That is what I am really wondering about. Some sites are different but others are the same sites just using different pictures, and my change some text or may use the inter products from there other sites as front pages of new sites. Is that black hat tricks and will the get busted and will people linking to them pay as well???? Please if anyone knows for sure let me know.

Thanks
