I dont know if this is of interest to anyone, but I am searching MSN (right of the home page) and getting the beta results - colors and everything.

Is anyone else seeing this???

I'm getting their regular search results.

Maybe they're mixin' it up a bit.

the release strategy msn uses is to gradually increase the percantage of searches which will be served by its new search engine.

As of Friday the MSN Beta is live. It looks like they are indexing 30% more than Google and 50% more than Yahoo. Some of my clients are there, others aren't and others that I've been working on for weeks showed up. ?.

Try clearing out your cookies. I had same thing happen this morning when I searched from the home page, but when I cleared out cookies it went back to the old search results.

I've just searched MSN and I'm getting the results from the beta search. I deleted my cookies to check and I'm still getting the same results.

I'm getting Beta results. No wait, old results. Wait, those were the same results with different look and feel. Sometimes it says beta and shows the beta colors, other times it doesn's ay beta or have those colors, but I still get the new results and not Yahoo results at all. It flips one way, then the other, but I'm not seeing the Yahoo results at all. Either way, I'm seeing my site #1. Using Yahoo or MSN beta just changes who sits right below me.

Brian.

The new, improved MSN Search looks to be live here in the UK too!

For my site's keywords, I'm getting first page at least, some are even getting #1 results.

Please can ALL other search engines look and learn! :o) LOL!!

Me too. The question is : how long will this last?
I have very few links going to the site and can't figure out why it would rank so well...

I tried all the national ones, but none of them seems to give beta search.

Beta didn't offitially go 100% live until today. What some of you guys were seeing was demographics tests. They rolled it out first to certain areas to make sure people didn't freak out. They did that by using IP addresses as locaters. Now it is live. Here is a good article about the future of this new search engine:
