Just curious how much feedback I can get about Google PageRank? We've got a real mystery over here...our homepage PR has dive-bombed from 6 to 5 to 0 over the past week or 2. And Google is returning no results for link:www.mywebsite.com, after we had 166 last week. We still show up in natural search, but generally lower than we had been.

- I have been adding inbound links by submitting our products to tech & shareware sites, but have avoided the low quality ones that might raise a PR flag, and if this were causing a problem, the subdomains should be affected more than the homepage, as most new links are for specific products.

If you've got any expertise with this, can you take a look at our site and let me know if you see anything that I don't? Thanks,

It also happened to me twice during the last weeks. Exactly the same: home page of Outdoor Holidays (http://www.outdoorholiday.com/) droped from 5 to 4 and then suddenly to 0. Then come back to 4. (I have noticed now the inside pages droped one PR point, from what they used to have when the main page was PR5). It doesn't disturb me much as long as the site was still in top of searches for the keywords that it used to be with PR5.

Best regards,
Radu

Many people have reported this same symptom. There may be nothing that you have done to cause this, several feel that it is essentially a bug on Google's part. I don't know, but you may just have to wait another 3-4 months for it to resolve... Best of luck.

Check your traffic. If you are still getting the same average number of visitors, don't worry. Remember, PageRank is a marketing tool. It does have a miniscule ranking factor, and that's it. Focus on getting more relevant IBL's to your site instead of the PR.

I have heard this type of story just after PR update, most of them temporary, hope it will be ok soon and even before next update.
