I have two domain names pointing to my website, does anyone see any potential problem if I had more lets say 6 or 7.

It depends on how you are using them.
My suggestion is a info site with sponsored link or go here for this product/service to maximize you out reach penitential.
1. Why would you want to do it? What advantage do you get by doing it?
2. I checked the site in your profile and what you are doing is, IMHO, called spam (you do have 6 or7 URL's). To Google you do not have multiple domains pointing to the same site - you have multiple copies of the same site... its looks as though Google have already got you with the duplicate content penalty/filter.

Cbp is right duplicate sited are really bad you get penalized for doing this. You can even get banned it they feel like it I suggest you use unique content of don’t use the multiple domains at all
There is nothing wrong with multiple domains, though I have no idea why people would want to do it.
There is a problem with multiple copies of the same site. If multiple domain names "point" to the same site, Google sees these as multiple copies of the same site (ie the URL's in the address bar are all different) --> asking for problems. The only wa a rond is to to do a 301 redirect, so all the multiple domains point to the one URL (ie the URL's in the address bar changes, rediecting to one)

How do you see that a site has duplicate content penalty/filter?
Thanks

One of them won't be indexed.

Duplicate sites and doorway pages = BAD BAD BAD!!!
You most definitly want to use a 301 redirect. Even using your other domains as a link to your main site may be viewed as a doorway page.
Through an honest mistake I know that Google does not like doorway pages!

Two questions:
o How about automatic forwarding from a Domain Name registry site? Is that acceptable or can you get penalized for that as well?
o What about a simple index page on each of the domains, with a link to the "real" site?

Duplicate sites or multiple domain names that redirect to the same content without a 301 Permanent Redirect are bad news.
If you must redirect more than one domain to content, the only proper way to do it is to pick one domain--then point all the others to it using a 301 Permanent Redirect.
If you feel you must have more than one domain name, then it's best to redirect using a 301 or have unique content on it.

Ok well I'm not using a 301 redirect - here's the page:

Is this considered a doorway page as far as google is concerned?

Its won't get you in trouble with Google. But, why do you have it? Of what use is it to the visitor to your site? Why not take them straight to the main page?

Well, for two reasons:
(1) The reason the domain exists is for those folks that may take a guess at a website name rather than searching (I know I do that - kinda like the "i'm feeling lucky" button). They type in the name of the product, and hope that takes them to a site relevant to the product. I didn't want to automatically redirect them to my site without first telling them what they typed in was in fact a real site. Also, I don't want them to think that my site is the "corporate" or home office site (due to the domain name/product name similarity). I already get enough of those inquiries, and portraying oneself as the corporate site is against home office policy for understandable reasons. Why the home office didn't buy up all the domain names is unclear, but most of them are owned by distributors like myself.
(2) I don't know the "correct" way to redirect them.
