Any news on when the Beta Search goes live on MSN?

They say first quarter 2005. Actually from the SERP they might get involved soon, but they will launch a ppc service similar to adwords and overture so that may slow them a little.
Latest news i had were new MSN search : february 05 and PPC network april 05.
However their contracts with Yahoo/Inktomi/Overture run till later in 2005.

All I have heard is that it was going to happen at the start of 2005 so I was thinking January but Febuary 5 seems like a good date to me and a little more precise. Then again I am only an SEO drone so what do I know.

When I was at the Chicago SES conference in December, one of the MSN engineers told me to expect the MSN beta to be live in early 2005.

He also said it would be subtle.

I think they will compete for number one because of the monopoly that microsoft has on the market.

I would love to see some real competition in the Norwegian market. Google have almost all the traffic here and the traffic Yahoo has is mostly through MSN Search.

With MSN there will be a real contender, as Yahoo really doesnt put much effort into the market here.
