I would like to know your opinions on Web Rings. Do they benifit a sites ratings by having them.

I joined a webring for my personal web site. I don't know that it increased my rankings in any search engines, but it has generated a little bit of traffic for me. I think they can be helpful for groups of people with a common interest. For commercial sites you might want to be cautious so that you aren't sending your customers away to a compeitor's site.
The code provided for the webring link was not HTML 4.01 strict, so I had to modify it a bit, but left the "look" the same.
