Can anyone tell me if there is a stat program out there that I can put on my site myself and don't have to worry about the "hidden advertising" that slows my page load down? I've tried 99% of all the "free" ones out there, and although they start out okay, soon the "snipit" of code has either multiplied or done something that, with some of them, drags my page load time down to about 3 minutes. I like knowing who my referrers are, the keywords used, and page views, not just the number of visitors. If there isn't a program to buy myself, can anyone recommend a really good stats program that doesn't cost an arm & a leg? The good (they were) ones offer a "pro" version with additional data, but if their free version gunks up my site, I'd hate to pay to have it messed up.
Thanks.

Most good web hosts have stats built into their hosting packages. Check to see what your host has available. You won't have to add anything to your site pages.

Awstats is probably the best free stats program available. It takes a bit to install and your host will have to give you access to the location of your log files
