Working on a PC, that had no viral protection. I've got rid of 46 of 48 of the problems the remaining two are a little difficult. Trojan Horse Downloader Stubby D and Agent AS. Can anyone help me? I downloaded AVG this healed 44 infections, I deleted 2 infected files. Went back on the web to Trend house call and scaned again it would find the two trojans but cant fix or delete. I hope this person learns a lesson. Thank you for any help.

To remove the agent as there's info here :

and for the Stubby A trojan here :

Good luck with it and getting your friend to learn their lesson, I keep trying to get my brother to learn but it's no use he's very computer illiterate.

Unfortunately these two trojans seem to hang together these days. Great links Kellare. :)

Three questions - what operating system does the computer run? Do you have Spybot S&D? And did you run AVG in 'Safe Mode'?

Agent-AS is spyware - spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) can usually remove it. I think it also has part in removing Downloader Stubby D but don't quote me there. Sygate has an online (http://scan.sygatetech.com/pretrojanscan.html) scan for trojans. So does GFI (http://www.trojanscan.com/), and Anti-Trojan.net (http://www.anti-trojan.net/en/onlinecheck.aspx). The only problem with running an online scan to remove a downloader is - it connects to the net when you do and makes itself harder to remove. You may have to 'kill' the host program before you can remove the trojan.

Hope this helps.
